Taro Fritters

Ingredients:
Meat
• 1 link Chinese sausage
Seafood
• 1/2 oz Shrimp, dried
Produce
• 2 cloves Garlic
• 1/4 oz Ginger
• 1 whole piece Green onion
• 1 1/2 lb Taro
Canned Goods
• 1 tsp Chicken bouillon
Condiments
• 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
Baking & Spices
• 1/2 lb Rice flour, regular
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1 tsp Sugar
• 1 White pepper
Oils & Vinegars
• 1 tsp Sesame oil
• 1 tbsp Vegetable oil Liquids
• 3 cups Water
• 1 Water
Cooking Instructions:
- Peel and wash the taro. Cut it into small cubes and set aside.
- Soak the dried shrimp in warm water for about 15 minutes. Drain and finely chop.
- Finely chop the Chinese sausage, garlic, ginger, and green onion.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, salt, sugar, and a pinch of white pepper.
- Gradually add water to the flour mixture, stirring constantly to form a smooth batter. Add more water if needed to achieve a pancake batter-like consistency.
- Stir in the chopped Chinese sausage, dried shrimp, garlic, ginger, green onion, chicken bouillon, and oyster sauce into the batter. Mix well to combine.
- Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip the taro cubes into the batter, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Carefully place the battered taro cubes into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- Once cooked, remove the taro fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil
Serve the taro fritters hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce with chili flakes. Enjoy your delicious homemade taro fritters!
